What is the difference between PROMASEAL® Intumescent Acrylic Sealant, Silicone sealant and -HPEx sealant ?

PROMASEAL®  Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is a water based acrylic sealant that is suitable for sealing joints up to 50mm wide (dependant on construction materials) and for sealing around cables and metal pipes in internal applications.

The sealant will typically allow for ±10% movement and can be overpainted. It is also approved for use by London Underground.

PROMASEAL® Silicone Sealant has a higher movement capability (±25%) and is suitable for sealing joints up to 60mm wide (see product literature for further information).

This product is suitable for use in external applications, but cannot be overpainted.

PROMASEAL®-HPEx Sealant is recommended for sealing around plastic pipes,  cables and cable bundles, and will intumesce to close off combustible penetrations and to seal off any gaps.
